GASSAR CAR Liaison - Committee Info

The purpose of this committee is:

to promote, develop and participate in CAR and DAR chapter activities;

to develop relationships with CAR/DAR members for future development of SAR members from the ranks of their respective societies;

to support the activities of each society through attending joing meetings and financial support of the CAR at the local and state levels;

to develop strong relationships with the CAR societies;

to have them present programs at SAR meetings;

to recognize outstanding CAR and DAR members who have contributed to the development of SAR, CAR and DAR relationships.

Members of the committee will coordinate with SAR chapters to ensure SAR member participation both financially and in attendance at meetings of the CAR and DAR. Additionally, each chapter should have a CAR/DAR/SAR liaison, and notify the State Chairman of CAR/DAR/SAR committee.

Each SAR Chapter will be requested to sponsor a CAR Society. SAR members are being asked to become a state patron, for a donation of $5.00 per member, and to have SAR members attend their meetings as well as having CAR members attend SAR meetings. SAR members are encouraged to become a State CAR Honor Roll participant, for $10.00 per member. SAR members are encouraged to become National CAR Patrons participant, for $25.00 per member. Additionally, SAR chapters are to assist in starting a new CAR Society in their chapter area, or to nurture an existing society.
